Isadora Duncan
A dance of joy, freedom, beauty, without restrictions... A complete method that cultivates body, soul and spirit, encourages natural, unpretentious movement, musicality and creativity.
Inspired by both the lyricism of classicism and the freedom of contemporary dance- and all this immersed in the ancient Greek spirit, ancient Greek philosophy and aesthetics- Isadora Duncan "the barefoot dancer" enlivened the ancient Greek vessels and frescoes, as well as Renaissance paintings, catalyzing the forms of classical ballet and following a movement led by the center of the body, the soul and nature (the movement of trees, the sea, the wind, the waves).
Each group session follows the structure of a dance class with exercises on the floor, on the bar and combinations in the center. Exercises the body gently without straining it, while special importance is given to relaxation, the flow of movement, breathing. It is suitable for all ages and all levels, for people with or without dance experience, beginners and advanced. As an accompaniment, top compositions of classical and romantic music are used, especially cultivating the relationship and connection of movement with music.
Limited number of participants. Minimum number of participants for a class is 4 and maximum 7. All necessary precautions are observed for protection against covid 19.
Isadora Duncan (1877-1927)
Isadora was born with the mission of expressing change and challenging the established perceptions of Western thought of the early 20th century. The philosophy of ancient Greece strongly influenced her dance creations. From the beginning of her career, in 1903, Isidora created dances that reflected social conflicts. He wanted a world without exploitation, poverty, war. He danced the revolution of a new era, free from physical limitations, expressing sadness, joy, resistance, and seeking hope.
