The actions
of the association
include cultural events and dance or theatrical performances that -after the thorough study for their accurate revival or reconstruction, are presented to the contemporary viewer conveying messages over time, respecting the essence of the raw material, whether it is text, music or dance. or ceremonial representations.
ATRAPOS Dance & Culture Group, under the auspices of the association and after 6 years of thorough research of texts, seal stones and mythological and philosophical extensions, attempted the reconstruction of the lost tragedy of Euripides, in a theatrical adaptation of Leta Koutsochera texts and direction and choreography by Arsinoe Lilly Karadima. The play was presented for the first time in 2017 at the AVATON theater, at the crowded ancient theater of Tanagra in front of 1,500 spectators and at the foundry theater, receiving excellent reviews and nomination for the 37th Korfiat Awards 2017-2018, in the category Best Movement-Choreography, "John Fleury". The project also participated in the symposium entitled "Composing and Adapting Ancient Greek Fragmentary Tragedy: Methodologies & Challenges for Classical Philologists and Theatrical Creators", in London, in early June 2018. The symposium was held under the auspices of the Royal Holloway University of London.
A great cultural event that became an institution with 7 years of presence in the historical center of Athens. The ancient Greek carnival, based on many years of research by the Parmenides Bousiou, managed to unite Greeks and foreigners of all ages in the Dionysian community and to receive the auspices and support of 'This Is Athens' and EOT (Greek Tourism Organisation). The association is under the auspices of the organization, while it also collaborates with the cultural and educational organization INROH for its promotion in Greece and abroad.
In an attempt to keep the flame of Greek culture alive, the association offers a series of weekly workshops on dance, music and theater. The workshops are offered by members of the association- each specialized in his field (actors, musicians, dance teachers) - to friends-members of the association who wish to attend either online or live.
Seminars & Education
The association regularly organizes educational and training activities, seminars, lectures on classical Greek dance, theater and tragedy, music, mythology and Greek philosophy, and workshops on the research and study of specific projects related to Hellenic culture.
