7 metamorphoses on stage.

1 transition.

1 journey into Light.

A journey of the Soul from the dimness of earthly nature to its infinite inner Light.

Artemis, as a guide through partially illuminated paths, is the one who sets the goal, reveals the way, the path. Her nature is dual, both gentle and harsh; she both protects and punishes. Her realm encompasses the broader world of nature and the harsh realities that coexist within her - her untamed virginity and the pains of childbirth - prevailing in a purely natural feminine domain.

She is the one who effects transformations. In an internal voyage.

9 cycles of the Moon, 9 months. The soul is in labor. And yearns to reach the Apollonian, the infinite, the dual light.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

On stage, gradual transformations unfold:

Distinctive qualities, seasons, rhythms, contrasts, and shifts are depicted. Each scene showcases characteristic dances of Artemis, as they are preserved from various sources (such as the dance of the Caryatids, Phrygian dances, torchbearers, bear dance, and the lizard figure). Through the performance, the audience discovers the thread that links the soul, embarking on its journey of evolution, gradually moving towards its inner light.

From a choreographic and directorial perspective, the piece achieves a fusion by blending authentic elements sourced from antiquity with contemporary dynamics and liberties, alongside a minimalism that places the action in a timeless present, accentuating the timeless nature of its messages.

The production features melodic and choreographed segments drawn from Euripides' choral odes for Artemis (Hippolytus, Iphigenia in Aulis, Trojan Women), with the aim of reflecting the enduring relevance of ancient texts in today's world.
